(Below) Claudia is a 2014 high school senior with personality. Upon talking with her, I asked her about the style of photography she would be interested in. After suggesting a couple of locations, we set off for a morning high school senior photography. We set up near some old and abandoned train carts and captured some magnificent images of Claudia in her comfy blue jeans and plaid country shirt, a cute pink shirt and skirt combo and a trendy striped dress. She did a phenomenal job following my cues for posing and the different looks shown below.
(Above) Claudia against a rush of green colors and natural color palette. Posed on a rock in he comfy jeans and plaid shirt. A reflector was used camera left as a main light source with nature providing the rim light.
(Above) Love this head and shoulder of Claudia leaning up agains the interior wall of a train cart. The black and white treatment is intended to get the viewer past the color and command all the attention to her beautiful smile.
(Above) Wow! This senior photo is more of a fashion statement. In this portrait of Claudia, I used the perspective of the trains to compose her in one of the strongest area of the frame. A strobe was introduced camera left set to f/16. It was a bright day!
(Above) A fun capture of Claudia standing in front of a graffiti-filled box cart. The graffiti lends a colorful punch to this high school portrait of Claudia that is both interesting and energetic.
(Above) While inside the box cart, I used a strong current of ambient light to light Claudia and bring out her deep blue eyes. The delicate presence of a high school girl set against the grunge of an old abandoned box cart give this high school senior picture the contrast I intended to create.
(Above) Ain’t she purity?.
(Above) A glamour girl wouldn’t you agree?.
(Above) Having some fun with an ordinary garage door. High school senior photography really lends itself to an explosion of color and textures.
