Blake and Larissa’s Wedding Day

(Above) I captured this image of the bride [Larissa] looking into the mirror as she put on her lipliner [I hope that's the correct name of that pencil in her hand] — L O L.

(Above) Mom and the bride putting on the last details in the dressing room prior to the ceremony.

(Above) The bride looks over to her bridesmaids as they meticulously perform last-minute alterations to her wedding gown.

(Above) An extreme close-up of the brides beautiful long eyelashes.

(Above) A very happy bride looking forward to the big moment!

(Above) When I arrived in the ‘guy’s” room, i saw these interesting containers. Koolaid perhaps?

(Above) One of several funny moments during the ceremony. The glasses were my idea… what a great way to bring additional laughter to an already happy moment.

Family Beach Portraits

Family-Beach-Pictures

(Above) A great looking family during a recent sitting for a Family Beach Portrait in Bradenton Beach, Florida. Beach photography for families is one of the many genres of photography I provide for my clients.

Marion and Brent’s Engagement Pictures

engagement-pictures-Venice-Florida

(Above) I created this series of modified black and white images for Marion and Brent during their engagement session in Venice, Florida. You will also find their wedding pictures on this Blog. Typically, I will post a couples engagement before I post their wedding. So let’s call it creative confusion! LOL

Marion and Brent’s Wedding Day

March 21st, 2012 No comments

wedding-groomsmen-photo-very-kool-tampa

(Above) The day started with a very kool photo of the groom and his groomsmen in front of the church. Creative wedding photography can spontaneously take place even on a street corner – as it did in this instance.

(Above) Using only the available light in this sanctuary, I was able to capture this memorable moment for Marion and Brent.

Sarah’s Sarasota Senior High School Pictures

December 22nd, 2011 No comments

Senior Pictures in Sarasota-Bradenton

(Above) I started Sarah’s senior session in a wooded area overlooking a pond. This senior picture turned out spectacular with the lush and green background blurred out intentionally. Sarah’s expression was right on the mark. Sarah is a natural photogenic high school senior.

Sarasota and Bradenton Senior Pictures

(Above) Sarah’s beautiful long blond hair lent itself perfectly for this next senior picture. Posed on the ground and asked to keep her posture high, she turned out a terrific photo. This senior picture and pose is requested of me quite often during my senior sessions.

Senior Pictures

(Above) Next, Sarah put on her ballerina dance clothes. We visited a nearby location overlooking the beautiful Sarasota Bay for our next senior portrait. She looks the part of a dancer as she ties her dancing shoes.

Outdoor Senior Pictures for Bradenton and Sarasota

(Above) The next photo required that I practically kiss the ground with camera in hand. I love the blurriness of the foreground floor in this senior picture of Sarah. The “red hot” burning sunset adds a beautiful backdrop to this senior photo.

Senior gal and mom take a break during daughter's senior picture session.

(Above) I added this photo of Sarah and her mom to show that my sessions are as fun as they are creative.

Santino and Andrea’s Wedding Day Photos

December 5th, 2011 No comments

(Above) Upon my arrival at the wedding venue, I noticed some familiar photos on the guest tables. At a closer inspection, I realized those were photos I had previously taken of Santino and Andrea during their engagement session. “I thought”, what a great idea! They used their engagement pictures to make distinct table placards for their guests. Wish I had thought of that… Great job Andrea!

(Above) One of the first I do when I arrive at a wedding venue is to look for a ‘kool’ location to photograph the wedding dress. I chose this location again, because of the symmetry provided by the double doors. The artistic look was created in post production to add extra punch to the photo of Andrea’s dress.

(Above) One of the bride’s (Andrea) specific request was to capture a close-up of her wedding dress hanging on a very special coat hanger prepared for this very occasion.

(Above) She is a cute bride… Her jet black hair gives great contrast to her face. For this photo, I stood up high on a chair and probably said something silly to get her to chuckle at me. It worked and I was able to create this pretty head and shoulder shot of Andrea while she was still in her dressing room.

(Above) I cringe as a father just thinking that this moment will one day catch up to me. But as a wedding photographer, I love creating these images of fathers giving away their daughters to the eager and awaiting groom – for life!

(Above) What an endearing moment to see Andrea’s children participate in her wedding ceremony. I specially enjoyed seeing their youngest get excited about pouring in his share of sand in the vase of unity.

(Above) The climax to every ceremony is the kiss at the altar.

(Above) Always in search for one more great photo, I asked Santino and Andrea to pause for moment and kiss so I could re-capture the moment of the kiss with their family and guests in the background.

(Above) Using the beautiful background of a declining sunset, I created this, and many other, bridal party portrait. The colors in this image are spectacular, from the deep reds of the bridesmaids dresses to the green and yellow foliage of the trees in the background. BTW the flower girl is a real cutie too.

(Above) A creative approach to an otherwise informal ‘formal’ portrait.

(Above) As it is customary for all my wedding, I create a series of portraits for the bride and groom that are unique and beautiful. I explain to many couples that these are the images that will hallmark their wedding celebration.

(Above) This photo was created moments after Santino and Andrea were presented to their reception guests. The amber chandelier adds, in my opinion, offers a warm context to this photo and illuminates an otherwise dark background.

(Above) This image was captured during a romantic dance at their reception.

(Above) Another common trait in my photography is a ‘reportage’ style. I came upon this scene of Andrea hugging her son with a ‘mother-like’ sentiment. If you agree… leave a comment at the foot of this page please.

(Above) Ah, the garter belt! I never know what to expect during this portion of the reception. Andrea looks quite interested to know what Santino has found under her wedding gown. Her expression is one of innocent curiosity and I love this image.

(Above) And the night comes to an end for Santino and Andrea as they exit their reception and embark on a new journey as husband and wife. The confetti adds a really festive look to this photo. God bless the bride and the groom!

Joe and Sydney’s Wedding Celebration

November 30th, 2011 No comments

Bride holding bouquet behind her.

(Above) Just before the ceremony, I saw Sydney walking towards her dressing room and I asked her to pause for a second as I created this portrait of her holding her wedding bouquet behind her. As a wedding photographer, I am always on the lookout for moments, surroundings and lighting that can produce a striking image such as this one.

Bride ready for alter walk.

(Above) As Sydney began her walk towards the altar, I walked ahead of her snapping picture after picture seeing how beautiful she looked in her wedding dress with the colorful green backdrop behind her.

Bride listening to grooms vows.

(Above) These are the moments that convey the greatest emotion. As Joe proclaimed his vows to Sydney, I could see the reception of love in her eyes. This photo captured a special moment during Joe and Sydney’s wedding ceremony.

Wedding kiss photo

(Above) A late afternoon portrait of Joe and Sydney moments after finishing their formal wedding portraits.

Photo of groom embraced by his bride

(Above) A very stylish photo of the groom [Joe] looking quite devonnaire.

Outdoor wedding picture during sunset in Florida

(Above) A dreamy late afternoon portrait of Joe and Sydney. Wedding portraits are such an important component in wedding photography and I persistently make it a rule to create several memorable portraits for the bride and groom in everyone of the weddings I serve as a photographer.

Wedding reception dance for bride and groom

(Above) Joe and Sydney’s wedding celebration was packed with friends and family. They both enjoyed themselves and this image captured their happiness as they danced the night away!

Photo of wedding favours.

(Above) Wedding favours can often be forgotten, but images like these can bring back their memories. I captured this picture of a hand-full of blocks, signed by wedding guests, which were construction pieces of a game. Very clever!

Ernie and Sasha’s Wedding at The Field Club

November 15th, 2011 No comments

Wedding Favours, Old Style Compass

(Above) A very nice wedding favour, “an elegant folding compass”. These great wedding gifts were prepared for Ernie and Sasha’s wedding guests. Silly me, I forgot to grab one for my self.

Bride in White Hallway - Fashion Look

(Above) In a nearby hallway, just outside the bride’s dressing room, Sasha was posing like a fashion model. The look of this image is really typical of trends in modeling magazines – way to go Sasha, you look stunning!!! She is indeed a very pretty bride and her wedding dress looked fantastic!

Bride looking in mirror - Sarasota Field Club - Sarasota

(Above) Sasha readies herself for her walk down the isle. Little did the groom know at this moment just how beautiful his bride was looking. A picture of a bride preparing herself as she looks in the mirror is a classic candid for me as a wedding photographer.

Father of the bride - ceremony, wedding, Sarasota, Florida

(Above) Sasha’s father walks with her as they approach the altar and the awaiting groom. The black and white look of this image adds to the impact of the moment. As a wedding photographer, I find that black and white although it removes color it introduces a dimension classic nostalgia.

The Kiss at the Altar - Weddings in Sarasota, Florida

(Above) Ernie and Sasha’s first kiss as “husband” and “wife”. The wedding altar kiss is the focal point of every wedding event. It signifies, to me, the beginning of life with a life-long partner.

The Big Wedding Kiss - Florida Wedding Photographers

(Above) Ernie and Sasha’s wedding ceremony at The Filed Club. Among the many wedding guests were friends and family who “cheered on” the bride and groom.

Sarasota Wedding Photographers - Bride and Groom Kissing

(Above) A sunset portrait of Ernie and Sasha by a pier at The Field Club in Sarasota. You might say they were veiled in love. I find that an outdoor wedding portrait at sunset is a wonderful opportunity to create a iconic photo for my wedding clients.

Romantic Wedding Kiss Photo

(Above) Ernie gives his beautiful wife and gentle kiss on the shoulders. The black and white look in this photo adds to the drama of the moment. This sort of photo does require a little bit of posing, but it is mostly about creating a romantic mood.

Removing the Garter Belt - Weddings in Sarasota

(Above) I remember seeing, and hearing, lots of laughs during the removal of the garter belt.

The Cutting of the Cake - Wedding Receptions

(Above) A special “Red Sports Car” wedding cake was prepared for the groom which resembled a former red sports car he owned in earlier years. Nice touch!!!

Indoor portrait of the Bride and Groom.

(Above) Another wedding portrait captured in the main hall of The Filed Club. I enjoyed placing the bride and groom in this particular location due to the warm environment created by the surrounding incandescent lamps.

Picture of the wedding rings. Sarasota - The Field Club

(Above) A picture of the wedding rings. Believe it or not, I shot this photo on the arm of an antique sofa. I specially like the blur behind and in from of the rings because it places greater emphasis on the rings themselves.

Jessica’s Bridal Session – Downtown Sarasota, Florida

November 14th, 2011 No comments

Outstanding, glamorous and awesome bridal portrait, picture, photograph

(Above) A stunning image of Jessica in her wedding dress in a very cute pose. Just the right expression, lighting and angle make this a superb photo.

A fashion look for a sensational bridal picture.

(Above) A great-looking wedding gown and a beautiful backdrop made this portrait look timeless. It was a really fun task explaining to Jessica how to strike this particular pose. As usual I demonstrate the pose by doing it myself and then coach the model/client into the pose. We had a couple of laughs in the process but in the end a great image was created for Jessica and her mom (who was also present, and having a great time as well).

Bride in Gown Walking Down Steps

(Above) In a desire to create a feeling of movement, I asked Jessica to look down the street while holding her wedding dress/gown with both hands which created a feeling of movement in he portrait. The black and white treatment creates further drama in this really nice photo.

Rico & Trish’s Wedding Day Celebration

November 9th, 2011 No comments

Wedding Favors for Guests

(Above) I started my photography for Rico and Trish by capturing some of their wedding favours. For this particular image I placed their engagement picture in the background.

A Cute Gift for Wedding Guest

(Above) Here is another interesting wedding favour. Notice this was an oceanside wedding in a really beautiful home. What a terrific setting for a wedding!

Photo of Wedding Dress

(Above) I was very impressed by the arch that the groom prepared for his bride to wed under. I could not think of a more appropriate location to capture a photo of the wedding gown.

Candid Shot of the Bride Getting Ready

(Above) Ok, this girl had sass! I so enjoyed working with Trish because she lived the moment and I’m sure that through this image she will continue to enjoy this “most special day” in her life.

Gorgeous Bride Head and Shoulder Photo

(Above) A stunning portrait of the bride gazing up at me with her stunning eyes and veil moments before the wedding ceremony.

Pinellas Park Wedding Ceremony

(Above) Shortly after being pronounced “husband and wife”. The bridesmaids had some “sass” too by the way!

Bridal Party Photo

(Above) This private pier provided a very interesting platform for this photo of the entire bridal party.

Sensational Sunset Wedding Photo

(Above) Wow! The sunset that was occurring during this photo was simply AMAZING! It looked like the sky was on fire.

Wedding Portrait at Sunset in Pinellas Park, Florida

(Above) A second wedding portrait of the bride and groom with a spectacular-looking sunset.

The Cutting of the Wedding Cake - Funny

(Above) Hey, it was a very funny moment! I knew it was coming knowing Rico and Trish and sure enough the cake splattering moment happened.

Fun with the Garter Belt

(Above) The garter belt removal is a great moment at any wedding yet Trish was able to live it to the hilt. Her expression in this picture is priceless!

Bridesmaids in the Pool After the Wedding Reception

(Above) Towards the end of the evening, I asked the girls to seat poolside for a photo. On the way, the bridesmaid on the right fell in and that started a laughing attack shown here – what a moment!
